I don't remember how long ago I started reading Melissa's blog Under Construction, but I know it's at least been since September of 2007: that's when she blew out my circuits by making children's blocks out of her cherry tree, with a storage bag that had a picture of a cherry tree sewn onto it.
Her Etsy shop shows the same creativity: buttons made of wood, "make your own clothespin doll" ornament kits, fabric television covers, embroidered wood ornaments/jewelry, embroidered felt rocks. Do you see the rings made of a slice of wood embroidered with a jewel?? How are your circuits NOW? Blown?

The felt rocks are too cool. I'm still looking at the wood pieces and trying to figure out how you embroider wood...but it works!
I collect heart shaped objects found in nature & I think the embroidered heart on the wood is perfect for my collection :)
